New Carlisle Food Bank... reaching out to the needy
Leaders: Michelle Collier & Anita Clinton

BCCN participates with a number of area churches known as the Bethel Churches United (BCU) to support the New Carlisle Food Pantry The Food Bank ministers to the vital needs of area families impacted by today's personal and macro economic challenges.

A Food Pantry barrel is available in the foyer of BCCN for regular donations of nonperishable food goods.  The food is then transferred to the New Carlisle Food Pantry located on Pike St. in New Carlisle across the alley from the 1st United Methodist Church, in New Carlisle.

As a complimentary community ministry, BCCN also participates as needed to financially support community programs such as Summer Lunches for Children in collaboration with Impact Bethel and provision of gloves to keep small hands warm in the cold winter months.

  • Month of May 2014, BCCN will be supporting the Bethel Township Community Group, a once a month free community dinner held at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church located at 1220 Styer Drive (Park Layne), held every 4th Thursday of the month @ 6pm.  This month our teens will be helping by serving and providing desserts.  We have also committed to supplying the meat for this meal.  This month they are featuring HAM.  Please see Michelle Collier if you would like to purchase a ham or donate money for this cause.  (Deadline for ham purchase May 21st.)
